Pro Tips:

  • Make sure you have enough cardboard for all the groups.

  • You may need to start collecting cardboard boxes a week or two ahead of time

Supplies: 

  • Cardboard boxes,

  • pipe cleaners,

  • tape,

  • markers,

  • scissors

  • toilet paper & paper towel rolls

How to Play:

students will be split into groups of 3-5. Each group will be provided with materials to build a cardboard robot (Materials include pipe cleaners, markers, tape, and anything that the kids can get creative with). One member of the group will be the robot. The ultimate goal is to build the best-looking robot.
After they build your robot, the robots will race each other, so make sure the robot stays intact.

They are disqualified if a) Their robot "costume" does not stay intact, b) violence occurs, c) they don't work together as a team
