Supplies Needed:
- 1 Trash Barrel (55 gallon preferably).
Have the group hold hands in a circle, facing inward with the trash barrel in the middle. The object of the game is to pull people towards the trash can. The first person that touches the trash can is out. If two people break hand contact then they are both out. Then regroup (minus the person who got out the first round) and start again. Continue this until there is only one winner left.
Pro Tips:
- If you have more than 25 people, consider starting with two games going at the same time and then condensing into one game once the groups are small enough.
- Better to start with an empty and clean trash can. Unless you're that youth group. ;)
My youth group has never played this before but I've seen it done and it went over really well.
Variation #2 - Provided by Scott Daily!
"So we play trash crash but we also play a variation with small kid size swimming pools (the really cheap ones) and try and get the person to either step in or fall in the pool. We call it Jamaican can can with the trash can or Jamaican pool pool with the kiddie pool."
