In my last blog post I mentioned having some ideas in the incubator - this is definitely one of them. I want to do everything I can to make this community more of a collective.
Do we really need one more youth ministry Facebook group?
That’s a fair question and to be honest, it’s probably not necessary. There are some awesome Youth Ministry FB groups out there and I’ve been hesitant to start another for just that reason.
So here’s why I’ve finally decided to pull the trigger:
1) I want us to be more of a collective and less of a one man show.
A FB group gives us a great way to share generously with one another, to collaborate together, and to connect with each other more. It will also help me to make graphics for the games that you’re playing and to know our specific community’s needs better. Imagine for a moment a FB group whose primary purpose is to share our tools and resources for the sake of God’s kingdom.
2) I want a group where we can speak openly and lovingly with one another as partners in the gospel.
I want a group that allows for healthy debate and dialogue yet doesn’t shy away from upholding the core beliefs of Christianity.
